Nilay Denizli, our General Manager and Audit Committee Member of İDDMİB, joined the Kuwait trade delegation alongside member companies of the Istanbul Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association (İDDMİB).

The Qatar-Kuwait Sectoral Trade Delegation was led by İDDMİB President Tahsin Öztiryaki and accompanied by our General Manager and Audit Committee Member Nilay Denizli, Board Members Serdar Urfalılar and Hülya Gedik, as well as Board Accounting Member Ayşegül Çapan.

During the visits in Qatar, participants met with Doha Trade Counselor Burak Güreşçi and Doha Ambassador Fikret Özer. The delegation’s meetings in Kuwait were accompanied by Kuwait Ambassador Ayşe Hilal Sayan Koytak and Kuwait Trade Counselor Atilla Uğur Başbuğ.
Highlighting Turkey’s iron and non-ferrous metals sector exports to Kuwait, Öztiryaki stated that exports increased by 12% compared to the previous year, reaching $29 million in 2018. He added, “Following our contacts, commercial activity has started to pick up. In the upcoming period, we aim to double Kuwait’s share in total iron and non-ferrous exports from 1% to 2%.”
