At Altek, we have adopted a sustainable strategy across all our operations as a core responsibility. This strategy adheres to the following principles:
Our corporate guidelines are defined by global standards that are binding for Altek.
As a long-standing and leading supplier in the textile industry, we are certified with the OEKO-TEX® label for responsible chemical management. This certification guarantees that the components of our brass alloy products used in textile goods and accessories do not contain any harmful chemicals.
We fulfill our obligations in accordance with the REACH Regulation issued by the European Union. Our products fall under the category of “articles,” and we continue our export activities without interruption. We are committed to continuously monitoring the SVHC candidate list, which includes substances subject to authorization under Annex XIV, as well as those proposed for inclusion.
We are committed to full compliance with current legal requirements regarding restricted heavy metals—such as mercury, lead, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium—under the RoHS Directive ("lead-free directive") in the electrical and electronics industry.
The term "Conflict Minerals" refers to raw materials such as tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten, which—when mined and traded—may contribute to the financing of armed groups. This is particularly relevant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and neighboring countries. Through our supply chain, we guarantee that the tin we use does not qualify as a conflict mineral.
With our published Code of Conduct, Altek aims to ensure that the Altek Family and all stakeholders strictly comply with applicable laws and the ethical principles outlined in the company’s policy.
